In February we were delighted to have a visit from Alister Haigh, CEO of Haigh's Chocolates which has a shop within the Main Corner.

Drinks in the foyer was a pleasant beginning to the evening, a joint event hosted by Friends of the Library and Friends of the Gallery.

A relaxing drink and nibbles before the talk

Alister talked about the beginnings of Haigh Chocolates in Mount Gambier and detailed the subsequent history of the company with retail outlets all over Australia and overseas.
He told us how chocolate is made and  showed samples of the raw products and we tasted the finished products.
Supper was icecream with Haigh's Chocolate Sauce - very delicious on a warm February evening.
